Our Company - iCapture

Straight Shot Solutions (iCapture's corporate holding company) was conceived on a cocktail napkin at a Red Robin in Boise, Idaho in early 2002 when Brady Roberts and Ed Vining hatched an idea that would change the way public golf courses marketed to their players.

That spring and summer the two spent weekends in lawn chairs at local public courses jotting down names and emails by day and entering them into spreadsheets by night.

Before long they had collected thousands of emails from players who wanted to hear from their favorite golf courses. The course's email blasts produced real and traceable results for their clients.

Touch screens soon replaced clipboards which let customers input their own email information faster and more accurately. It also meant their clients could get more information from customers such as how often they played.

The value of email marketing grew exponentially as preferences were added to customer profiles, segmented lists were created and messages were customized with almost instantaneous results.

By 2006, Straight Shot Solutions had expanded as the golf industry's first and only nationwide loyalty program and eventually grew to hundreds of courses with hundreds of thousands of players throughout the U.S. carrying a Golf Rewards card.

With the advent of the iPad, Straight Shot Solutions refocused on the data capture portion of the equation. Expensive touchscreen kiosks were replaced by Apple's revolutionary tablet and in early 2012, iCapture was introduced into the App Store. iPhone and Android versions for tablets and smartphones followed in early 2013.

Today, thousands of organizations benefit from the iCapture team's decade long effort to improve customer data collection methods, meaning more contacts, more leads and ultimately more customers.
